(reminder: all quotes here are fiddled, probably.)

Dear M.A. students who have take HISXXXX,

Please be reminded that the lecture on 13 April will not be cancelled, though the Easter holiday begins on 14 April.

Dear M.A. students who have take HISXXXX,

Please be reminded that the lecture on 13 April will NOT be cancelled, though the Easter holiday begins on 14 April.

who have take?

who haven taken OR

who is taking

__________________________

Dear MA students in HSxxxx,

Please take note that the lecture on 13 April is NOT cancelled, despite the beginning of the Easter holidays on the following day. ...
__________________________

Dear MA students in HSxxxx,

I would like to remind you that there WILL be lecture on 13 April ...

second one is better

The second one is better. Boldface in typograhy should be used sparingly.

Dear HSXXX MA students:

Please note that April 13 is a regular school day and all lectures will be held as scheduled.

(add this if necessary: And you all lazy motherfuckers are therefore expected to show up. However if you want to cut class to start Easter early, I can't stop you, but I am hell-bent to make you guys pay for it.)

Passive voice is generally considered bad form or bad style.

Hey I just did it myself.

But I think in this case "Please be reminded" is not that bad. As the writer is not really the subject of interest here and the author doesn't want to draw attention to himself or herself.

Even in the kind of preferred ways as some of you (and myself included) tend to think, "Please note" or "Please take note" the subject is obscured or implied. So even in active voice the subject is like missing in action.

No, I don't think the passive voice "Please be reminded" is all that bad in this case.

Enough bull, have a good day.
