liquid war (game)

今天試玩了liquid war這個open source的電腦遊戲. 很簡單的規則, 卻很有風味.

You control an army of liquid and have to try and eat your opponents. A single player mode is available, but the game is definitely designed to be multiplayer, and has network support.

你的fighters以同顏色的點表示, 他們受你的游標吸引, 湧向游標.

The main goal of these fighters is to reach the cursor you control. And to do that, they are in a way quite clever, for they choose the shortest way to reach it.

遊戲的妙處, 在於計算fighters在沒有阻礙下的最短路徑. 這些figters都是各自獨立,沒有相互作用. 看到這些移動規則, 馬上意識到這個遊戲其實是某個物理問題的simulation.

When two fighters from different team meet each other, they first try to avoid fighting, and they dodge. But if there is no way for them to move, they get angry and attack the guy which is blocking them.

遭攻擊的fighters受傷太重的話, 就會被俘成對方的人馬. 俘擄對方全部人馬, 就算勝利.
